Bought this for my dad for father’s day and he’s over the moon. Says it cuts through veg like butter, the flat edge is great for his arthritis as he doesn’t need to rock the blade. Edge was razor sharp out the box. Delivery was quick too.

Ok so ive had this nakiri for about a month now and its quickly become my go to for any veg prep. Used to use a santoku but the completely flat profile on this one means you get full contact with the board so no accordion cuts on spring onions. The steel holds an edge brilliantly, I’ve only needed to strop it once in that time. Handle is comfortable and the whole thing feels well balanced. Only slight thing is it’s a bit heavier than I expected but honestly I prefer that now. Came in a nice box which was a bonus.

Ok so I’ve had this about 3 weeks now and use it most days. The nakiri shape is brilliant for onions and peppers, no rocking just straight through. Edge is holding up well, couple passes on a steel and its back to scary sharp. Handle is comfortable, bit lighter than my old German knife but I prefer it now. Came well packaged as well which was a nice touch.

  4. Archie (verified owner)

Got this for my dads birthday and he hasn’t stopped going on about it. He’s been using some old blunt thing from Tesco for years. The flat edge on this makes slicing veg so clean, he did a whole tray of courgettes and they looked like they came out a machine. Blade arrived properly sharp too, not the usual ‘sharp enough’ you get.

  5. Tony Barnes (verified owner)

Got this for my wife’s birthday as she does a lot of stir fry and veg prep. She was using a cheap santoku before and the difference is night and day. The flat blade makes short work of cabbage and carrots, honestly it glides through stuff. Edge came proper sharp out the box and its got a nice weight to it. Slightly heavier than I expected but she says it feels really well balanced now shes used to it.

  6. Ade P. (verified owner)

Got this nakiri a couple weeks back and honestly its become my go to for veg prep. The flat blade makes slicing cabbage and onions so much easier than my old chefs knife, no half attached bits at the bottom. It came sharp enough to shave with, still holding the edge well after near daily use. Feels nice in the hand, not too heavy. For £55 I’m well happy.

  7. Jack Roberts (verified owner)

Really nice knife, does exactly what you’d want for veg. Only thing is the handle shape took a few days to get used to, bit more square than I usually go for. Now I’m used to it though its fine. Would recommend if you do a lot of stir fry or prep work.

  8. Russ (verified owner)

got this for my oh’s birthday as he’s been going on about wanting a proper veg knife. he proper loves it. used it tonight to julienne carrots and it went through em like butter. edge is mental sharp out the box. feels really well balanced too, not too light not too heavy. lovely satin finish on the blade. i’m half tempted to nick it for myself tbh.

  9. Hayley B. (verified owner)

It’s a decent enough blade, but i dunno, maybe i expected a bit more for the money. The steel holds an edge alright but i’ve used nakiris before that felt more nimble. This one’s a tad handle heavy for my liking. It does the job, just doesn’t excite me. If you’re after something functional and not fussed about fancy feel then it’s fine, but i probably wouldn’t buy another.

  10. Gavin (verified owner)

So ive had this nakiri about a month now and its got to be my most reached for knife. The flat profile is spot on for chopping veg, you dont get that accordion thing where bits stay connected. Was using a wusthof chef knife before but this is so much better for veg prep. Clean cuts on tomatoes and herbs aswell. Easy to sharpen on a stone when needed. Honestly for £55 its a bargain. Came in a nice box too.
