Ok so I’ve had this knife for about three weeks now, bit of an impulse buy but I’m well chuffed. The sandalwood handle feels lovely in the hand, nice bit of weight to it. Took it on a camping trip and prepped a big pork shoulder, the hammered finish does actually help stop bits sticking to the blade. Still sharp after a fair bit of use. Came next day as well which was a bonus.

Ok so I’ve been after a decent cleaver for a while and this one caught my eye because of the leather sheath. Blade is 5Cr15MoV which is decent for the money, holds an edge well after a few weeks of daily use. I mostly use it for veg prep actually, it’s surprisingly nimble for a cleaver. The sandalwood handle is really comfortable, has a nice warmth to it. Only thing is it’s a bit heavier than my old one but I actually prefer that now. Came well packaged too, no complaints.

Got this for breaking down chicken and joints. Its a nice looking knife and the leather sheath is a nice touch but honestly for £45 I expected a bit more from the blade. It cuts ok but nothing special, had to put a better edge on it after a few uses. The sandalwood handle is comfy enough but feels a bit small in my hand. Probably fine if you just want a pretty cleaver but as a proper workhorse it’s just ok.
